6/27/23 Manitowoc to Kewaunee
Well yesterday was an interesting day, there was a low (I think) located around Green Bay where storms just kept circling counter clockwise over us. So we put up all the canvas and hid from the rain. Wind out of the north-northwest 15 knots gusts to 24 knots. So we motored the whole way. Took 5 1/2 hours. Now we are leaving for Kewaunee municipal marina Motor sailing with Main, course 66 degrees, wind coming from the northwest. Too close for just sailing. Boat speed 5 knots (with motor).
Big problem is smoke. We can feel it in our lungs and visibility is pretty bad. Oh well. Changing course to 23 degrees. Wind just barely off our nose. Main still up. Sun poking out.
Changed course to 002 degrees, no wind, taking down the main.
Here is two lighthouses first is Manitowoc, second is Point Rawley
