7/1/24 Ludington to Frankfort
We stayed three days in Ludington, due to wind and weather conditions. Yesterday 6 foot waves so no one up here was moving. Ludington is a great Marina. Nice showers, facilities, people and staff.
We met Sue and Bob, a nice couple from the area that took us to the grocery store. Went to a nice restaurant with Allen Thometz who was with from Waukegan for the crossing.He flew back on a Cape Air flight from Manistee.
We should arrive in Frankfort around 3:30, currently motor sailing in 7 knots of wind out of the Northwest, a little chilly but the sun is out.
We went very close to Big Sable Point and got this great lighthouse picture. also we are near the shipping lanes, so we have to keep an eye out for freighters.
