Heading for “The Cut”
6/28/23 – We departed Kewaunee. We intended to get going early which translated to 11:00.
We have developed a slight issue with our furling main. It was difficult to let out this morning. After we got the sail out. The bottom is all the way out, but the top is not. It is close, but not all the way.
After trying to tighten and loosen the main halyard we are going to leave it. We are getting a new main in Sturgeon Bay anyways (third attempt).
We finally have both sails out. With the wind out of the East. Pretty nice. Still using the motor to keep the speed over ground (SOG) up. Currently 6.6 knots.
Our ETA is probably 3:00 ish. Have to ask that the Bayview Bridge be raised, which I think is call them on channel 13. We shall see.
it us chilly up here. Where is summer?

June 28, 2023Steady as she goes, all hands on deck. Poor Jeannie, she must be exhausted as she typically does most of the work, we all know that. What summer? hazard air warning here all advised to stay inside. Looks like a fog all day long. Enjoy your time on the water.

June 28, 2023Could you make sure it’s water by the time we get there? That would be great.
Steve Goldman
