Day 19 – Hanging Out in Leland

After the 9 hour crossing from Washington Island, we weren’t ready to take on a 7 hour trip to Petosky right away. So we decided to stay over a day in Leland.
Our good friends Dion and Jamie, came down from Petosky to see us. First we had lunch at The Cove. Of course we all had some form of Whitefish. Everyone said there meal was good.

Them we went out for a short sail to show them how Peen honin sails. Good winds, 14 knots, good sailing.

Then they got a chance to see the pump-out and fueling process.

No trip to Leland wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Ice Cream shop.

We said good to Dion and Jamie until tomorrow when we sail up to Petosky to see them again.
