Day 39 – A very mixed day.
We picked up Danny at Northport harbor and he sailed with us from there to Leland. This meant sailing north in Grand Traverse Bay to the confluence of Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay.
We had a pretty good wind that allowed us to sail north. Then we had to go West into Lake Michigan and to turn the motor on.
When we got into Lake Michigan the wind died. So the trip turned into a sight seeing trip.
After looking at a lot of really nice houses we got some wind and started sailing. The wind picked up and we decided to sail past Leland and give Dan a bit of a sail.
From the sailing perspective not a bad day. From a boat ride perspective also a nice day.
