Day 42 – Going from Frankfort to Manistee

Interesting time in Frankfort. We were racing a sailboat into the Frankfort breakwater. They were under sail and we were under motor. Thus they have the right of way. Turns out they were our next door neighbors at the Marina. Matt and Lacy. Super friendly, putting Frankfort near the top of the friendly marina list.

We stayed over a day in Frankfort. Had a good time. Bought some blown glass items, went down to the beach and walked out to the Lighthouse. Lots of Kite Sailors. Good thing we stayed an extra day. Big storm hit. Had to double down on fenders and lines and watch the movie “The Finest Hour”. Great movie about a Coast Guard Rescue in the 50’s.

so we left Frankfort at 10:00. Once again wind is out of a non-optimal direction but so far we have been able to sail but not in a great direction, but whatever we are sailing.

Have to call out Eileen J for the awesome tortilla soup. We just finished it off and it was yummy.

So all is good!

Thank God you didn’t flip them the bird when you were racing them, nice matters, lol!
As my Mom would say, “May it go to your good health!” Enjoy!
P.S. What the hell is that guy standing on?

    Eileen,
That is the board the kite sailors stand on with a foil on the board. Pretty cool!
I only flip the bird at motor boats. 😃
