Day 51 – New Buffalo to Burnham
So we are at in final two days of our Adventure (:-). So setting out from New Buffalo around 9:00. Winds were good, but we had to motor sail, both sails up, speed 7.4 knots. Got over in a hurry. the first 4 hours were really nice. Sun, wind and enjoyment. Then the wind got strong and wavy. So the last two hours were hard!
Burnham absolutely sucks. The captains are assholes and there is no etiquette period. Sorry about my french.
Meanwhile, we picked up a passenger along the way. A finch? Don’t know for sure Ride all the way across and wasn’t scared of us all.
Did I say that Burnham sucks?

August 13, 2023Ya Hey Dere ( a little U.P. talk so You feel at home ) we can meet You at 0400hrs. No problemo ! ! When we see you anchor, we will pop smoke so you can be schwimmin right in. To echo Eileen, am also sad this epic voyage, this sailing adventure of a lifetime, that You both so generously brought us all along on, to experience with You, is winding down. . . . . . . . Still time before winter freeze, would You both consider doing it again ?
